Obituary for Stefan Karapata
Stefan Karapata , 66 of Mansfield Center passed away Wednesday May 5, 2021 at his home. He was the son of the late Stefan and Janina (Osinski) Karapata.
 Born on November 26, 1954 in Hamburg, Germany he has lived in Mansfield Center for the last 22 years. He worked as a supervisor for American Thread Co, Franklin Mushroom for 20 years  and then for Coca Cola Company in East Hartford for 25 years. He was also a member of St. Mary Ukranian Catholic Church in Willimantic.
 He is survived by his former spouse, Lise Lambert of Canterbury; son, Gerard Dubord of Canterbury; daughter, Helen Bartha of Canterbury; sisters, Maria Morin of Plainfield, Halina Karapata of Florida and Theresa Karapata of Willimantic; a brother, John Karapata  and his wife, Wendy of Hampton and 4 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Karapata and a sister, Barbara Segar.
 A Celebration of the Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday May 7, at 11AM at St. Mary Ukranian Catholic Church 70 Oak St, Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
