Obituary for Stephen P. Montella
WILLIMANTIC – Stephen P. Montella, 65, a longtime resident of Willimantic, died peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2016. Born in Hartford on February 14, 1951, he was the son of the late Stephen J. and Rose (Spaziani) Montella. Stephen lived his life with a positive attitude and lots of love for everyone around him. With his kind-hearted nature and wonderful sense of humor he touched many hearts. He loved Johnny Cash’s music and treasured spending time at Camp Horizons in South Windham. The staff and counselors truly enriched his life.

He is survived by his loving sister, Nancy Conlan and her husband Edward; niece Stephanie; and 3 grand nieces; and a host of friends. Stephen’s family would like to thank Dr. Peter Jones and Maria Brennen, APRN and staff for years of excellent care, Shaina Kraus, R.N., and the staff at Douglas Manor for their kindness, his caregivers Lynne and Peter Poulos and Sienna and Micah Cour for their loving care and friendship, and the remarkable staff at Horizons for all they do.
