Obituary for Teresa Garceau Flynn
Teresa Denise (Garceau) Flynn, 68, of Scotland, Connecticut, passed away comfortably during the early hours of March 14, 2021.
She leaves behind her companion, Brian Sutcliffe; her daughter, Jennifer (Garceau) Jones;her son, Jon Ricard and his wife Neyda; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and siblings.
Teresa was born May 14, 1952 to Louis Garceau and Theresa (Baribeault) Garceau, both deceased. She was the youngest daughter of six children; Jeanne Labbe, Richard Garceau, Annette Grover, (whom all predeceased her), and is survived by Jacqueline Ausburger and Paul Garceau.
She was a lover of animals and was always surrounded by them. Her heart went out to thosethat were orphaned or injured so she could nurse them back to health. Her home was always filled with house plants too. Many came into her possession with affliction but she would tend to them daily and revive them back to their natural beauty.
She loved to work with her hands; whether it was digging in the soil, mixing up her next recipe, or crafting afghan blankets & slippers. Her vegetable gardens brought a lot of joy to her and kept her busy. She brought her harvest into her kitchen to bake and cook until her freezer overflowed. She would then give most of it away so she could do it all over again! Teresa was a giver and always ready to help someone in need.
Teresa’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic. A celebration of life will be planned in May around Teresa’s birthday. To send an online expression of sympathy, please visit www.baconfh.com
