Obituary for Theresa (LaBelle) Baran
Theresa (LaBelle) Baran, 87, of Lebanon, peacefully returned to Heaven surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 23, 2016.  Born October 12, 1928, in Willimantic, she was the daughter of Alcide and Floremma (Lariviere) LaBelle. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to Stanley P. Baran.  Stanley and Theresa were married October 25, 1947, and raised their family in Lebanon. Theresa was a devout member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Lebanon.  In addition to being an impeccable homemaker and a loving, dedicated wife and mother, Theresa worked at Electric Motive, and Fisher’s Big Wheel. At home, she could often be found baking pies, crocheting afghans, making sauce, or working on one of her puzzles. She also enjoyed a good game of setback, cheering on the Huskies basketball teams, and hearing the latest news and adventures of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.Theresa was predeceased by her brother, Alcide (Pete) LaBelle, and sisters Viola Demers, and Loretta Mischonski.A loving mother, she leaves behind three children, Stanley Baran Jr. and his partner Connie Poulin, of Lebanon; Tina Mott, and her husband Larry Mott, of Mansfield; and Mary Baran, of Rocky Hill. She will also be dearly missed by her three grandchildren, Rodney Baran, and his wife Heather Baran, of Lebanon; Rebecca (Mott) Alberts, and her husband Raymond Alberts Jr., of Lebanon; and Kelly Mott, and her fiancée, T.J. Scott, of Mansfield. Theresa was also a proud great-grandmother to Sawyer and Shane Baran, and Jada Mott.Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Bacon Funeral Home at 71 Prospect Street in Willimantic, CT. On Friday, January 29, 2016, her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Francis of Assisi Church at 67 West Town Street, Lebanon, at 10:30am, followed by a burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Club Road in Willimantic. In Lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Lebanon.
