Obituary for Thomas P. Millette
Thomas P. Millette, 62 of Chaplin, husband of the late Carol Ann (Cabit) Millette passed away unexpectedly Monday January 27, 2020 at his home. He was the son of the late Arthur F. and Margaret (Pellitier) Millette.
Born on September 20, 1957 in Willimantic, he grew up in Willimantic. He graduated from St Mary’s School and attended Windham High. He graduated from Windham High in 1976. This is the same year that he married the love of his life Carol. They moved to Mansfield and raised 3 children there. He worked most of his life at Precision Tool and Die in Willimantic, becoming part owner in 1997. He was a member of the Polish Club and became President. He also was a member of the American Legion. He loved to go camping, fishing, and the beach. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He also loved to cook with all of his “kids” at the Polish Club.
He is survived by his 3 children: Rachel and her husband Scott of Willington, Jennifer and her fiance John of Mansfield, and Jeremy and his fiance Brittany of Ashford. He is also survived by his sister Cathy, and his brothers David and Arthur. He loved his grandchildren: Thomas, Samantha, Corey, Logan, Zachary, Aiden and Layla. He also has many friends and family members.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday Feb 4, from 9:30 to 10:30AM at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW 1415 W. Main St, Willimantic, CT. 06226 or the American Legion Post 19, 339 Brick Top Road, Windham CT, 06260.
