Obituary for Valeria (Kosiba) Menditto
Valeria (Kosiba) Menditto, 93, of Willimantic, wife of the late Victor Menditto, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 in Regency Heights of Windham. Born in Willimantic, she was the daughter of Joseph and Katie Kosiba. Vi retired from the University of Connecticut where she worked in the Common’s dining hall. She is survived by her daughters Patty Menditto of Willimantic and Rita Martin of Columbia; her grandchildren: Gary and Erika Giordano and Christopher Martin of Willimantic and Cindy Frolie of Putnam. She also leaves her little bichon,Gresha II. She was predeceased by a brother Walter Kosiba and four sisters: Stephanie Kaczowski, Mary Saverick, Betty Gaulin and Genevieve Kelly. The family wants to give a special thank you to the staff of Regency Heights for all their support. I love you Nana. Go with God, rest in peace with the angels. To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven; a time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck that which is planted. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, 7/28/10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 7/29/10, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church on Jackson St. in Willimantic. Please go directly to church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 279 New Britain Rd. Suite 5, Kensington, CT 06037.
