Obituary for Victor J. Maheu
Victor Joseph Maheu “Pa” “Great Pa” Hampton- With family by his side, Victor passed away on July 30, 2008 after a courageous battle with kidney disease. He had lived in Hampton for over fifty years and was a veteran of the National Guard and a retired machinist of thirty years from Mal Tool Engineering. Great Pa will be missed by his treasured great-grandchildren; Aidan, Owen, Conner and Ashlyn whom he adored immensely. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, playing cards and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Victor had a wonderful sense of humor of which he has passed on to his grandson Eric. Victor is survived by his sister Dorothy Desrosiers of Columbia, daughter and son-in-law Eileen and Bill Hall of Hampton, son and fiancée David Maheu and Donna Chiapponi of Hampton and grandchildren Dawn and Eric Kemp of Chaplin and Eric and Trish Hall of Windham and close friends Carol Wright, Bill Loree, Barbara Arnold and Valerie Sakowski. Predeceased by a son Victor J. Maheu, Jr.; his parents Octave and Aldea Maheu and brothers and sisters Walter, Phillip, Norman, Harry, George, Rose, Louise, Yvonne, and Phyllis. Private burial services will be made at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Hampton Volunteer Fire Department. Love and gratitude to the staff and friends at the Windham Dialysis Center “Honest to God” Pa, rest in peace. The Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic has charge of arrangements.
