Obituary for William F. Loree
William Floyd Loree, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday May 11, 2012 at Windham hospital. William was the son of the late Irene (Stone) Loree and Lloyd Loree. William is also predeceased by his life partner Carol Wright and his daughter Priscilla Dazy. William leaves behind his 2 brothers, David Loree of Massachusetts and Francis Loree of Windham CT; a daughter, Debra Ursin of Hudson, Florida; two sons, William Loree Jr. of Willimantic Ct, and Ronald Loree of Willington Ct . William also leaves the Hall and Kemp families who were also his family. William is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great, great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Andrews, and Shirley Esterbrook and a brother, Robert Loree.
William proudly served his country in WW2 as a Marine. He retired from Rogers Corporation after many years. William was also a past commander of the American Legion post 19 in Willimantic Ct. William “Bill” was an avid Yankee and Uconn fan and was a friend to all who knew him.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday, May 25th at 1:00 p.m. in St Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd. Windham, CT, followed by a reception at the American Legion Post 19 in Willimantic Ct.
