Obituary for William J. Williams
William J. “Bill” Williams, 75, of Chaplin, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 29th at his home. He was born October 6, 1938 to Frances (Midura) and Walter Williams. He was a framer/carpenter for 20 years, working for various companies. He retired from the Windham Public School System in 2000. Bill’s hobby was working around his home with his flowers and plants. He is survived by Paula, his wife of 57 years. Bill also leaves his daughter, Denise (Philip) of E. Harwich, MA.; his two grandsons, Gavin and Chase and a step granddaughter, Lauren of Chicago, IL. He also leaves three brothers: Walter of Preston, CT, Richard of Sebring, FL and Danny of Willimantic, CT; one sister, Eunice (Ken) Moffitt of N. Franklin, CT and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant son, Wesley and his daughter, Laurie. There will be a graveside service for family and close friends on August 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham.
