Louise A. MacCluskey (Gasper) 91, of Columbia, CT, formerly of Woodstock, CT, passed away peacefully, October 9, 2022 at Fox Hill Center, Vernon, CT. She was born January 27,1931 in Andover, CT to the late Rose & John Gasper. She grew up on the family farm in Andover, CT with seven brothers and sisters.
Louise worked at The University of Connecticut, Department of Agriculture, for over 20 years. She loved traveling for over 28 years with Elmer to Hawaii and summer trips to Cape Cod. In addition, she also traveled to Europe and other locations in the United States. She enjoyed gardening, reading, the beach, and bowling. Louise was an avid fan of the University of Connecticut Women’s Basketball and the Boston Red Sox teams.
Louise is pre-deceased by her husband; Elmer MacCluskey, her seven siblings, and step- grandson. She is survived by her loving children, Debora Dubina (Alan) of Scotland, CT, Diane Gilbert (David) of Cumming, GA, Robert Quinn (Marie) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Michael Quinn of Columbia, CT; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; Louise also leaves a large family of nieces and nephews, and their children.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 13, from 10-11 a.m. at Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect Street, Willimantic, CT. A funeral service will follow from 11-12p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Windham, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd. S#4b Southington, CT 06489.
