Judd E. Burnham, 50, of Pomfret Center, passed lovingly into his mother’s arms the early morning of Sunday December 11, 2022. Judd was born November 20, 1972 the son of the late Joanne J. Roberge and Ronald E. Burnham.
Judd grew up in Willimantic and has spent time living in New Britain, Willington, Tolland, Vernon, Mansfield and most recent years finally found his true home in the quiet corner of Connecticut. While Judd had the opportunity to “semi retire early,” as he put it, he spent most of his adult life in various sales support positions for the insurance companies Cigna, Aetna, and Sun Life Financial. Through his ‘retirement’ he worked tirelessly helping others in need despite having his own health battles. Judd’s one and only regret in life was not finishing his degree and at the ripe young age of 49 he decided to go back to school. He was enrolled at Worcester State University to pursue a degree in Psychology with the hopes of becoming a certified therapist. What Judd did not realize was that to many he was already a therapist and he did not need a piece of paper to prove that.
Everyone that knew him knows his greatest accomplishment in life was being a Dad, first and foremost. He will be greatly missed by his sons Andrew Joshua and Alexander Kenneth. And let us not forget about his 4-legged children Amber, Serge, Dave, Bella, and Daisy.
With a personality that was truly larger than life he will surely be missed by his wife of 20 years Joanna Kelly Burnham. His brother Joshua Burnham and wife Stacy (Debisschop) Burnham his nephew Jackson Thomas, niece Madison Simonne, and nephew Karson Richard. His best friend and cousin Jennifer (Roberge) Donabed and her children, Godson Adam Donabed, and Julia Donabed. Another best friend and cousin David Simard and wife Melissa (Eshoo) and their children Tobias, Noah, and Goddaughter Nancy. His mentor, his sounding board and all around second father figure and cousin, Lawrence Miffitt and his wife Cynthia. His “sister” Renee Collins and husband Michael and their children Brooke and Michael. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews from the Burnham, Roberge, Arton, Hutt, Vallieres, Byrne, Peterson, Kelly, Hawke, Hinson, and Pepin families.
We can all have peace knowing he is now with so many special people that have gone before him to make a place at the Lord’s table. Including his maternal grandparents Raoul and Simonne Roberge, Bebiane and Edward Miffitt, Susan Hutt, Claude and Anna Vallieres all whom he loved dearly.
